I am committed to focusing on the issues that matter most to the residents of Ward 4 and Ocean Springs. These challenges and opportunities define our future, and I’m dedicated to delivering solutions that work for all. Here’s my plan and what issues I feel are important:

Transparency. 

Push for open, honest government. Public meeting agendas and attachments need to be provided to the public in a timely manner and conflicts of interest need to be disclosed. No more hidden agendas. 

Accountability.

Tax dollars matter. Demand fiscal responsibility, ethical leadership, and performance reviews to keep officials and city employees on track.

Smart Growth.

Growth that makes sense. Support development that enhances our city without overburdening infrastructure or losing our charm and cherished protected trees.

Reduce Short-Term Rentals.

Limit the number of short-term rentals to protect neighborhoods and ensure affordable housing availability for residents. Remove downtown overlay zones to balance development and preserve community character.

Tree Preservation.

Protect what makes Ocean Springs special. Advocate for reinstating the Tree Committee, and for mature tree conservation, green spaces, and replanting programs. 

Resident Input.

More voices at the table. Our residents deserve to not just be heard but their input including in the process. Town halls, surveys, and advisory boards to ensure decisions reflect community needs.

Infrastructure.

Fix what’s broken. Prioritize roads, drainage, and pedestrian-friendly pathways, only if feasible and beneficial.

Property Rights.

Fair and balanced regulations. Respect property owners while protecting the character and integrity of neighborhoods.

Historic Preservation.

Preserve our past. Leverage local expertise to safeguard Ocean Springs’ history and charm. Ensuring future generations experience our rich history.

Community and Schools.

Strong schools build strong communities. Investing in education unites and strengthens Ocean Springs for generations to come. 

Public Safety.

Public Safety is vital for a thriving community. Protecting lives, fostering trust, and ensuring Ocean Springs remains secure and resilient. Support for law enforcement to ensure they have the training and resources needed to keep residents safe.
